Lauren Alaina Shares Throwback With Emotional Message To Fans

1/06/2019 — This last year has been a very rough on Lauren Alaina. She lost her stepfather not to long ago to cancer, and even before this year she had major self esteem issues that she was very open about with her fans. She overcame an eating disorder as well during that time. As the new year kicks off, she decided to take some time off of social media to reflect on her feeling and all that she has had to deal with over the last few years. She posted to Instagram to let her friends know she would be back, but we wouldn’t hear from her for a little bit. She told us this by posting a throwback photo of her in, what looks like, middle school, in a polo and a short bob haircut. She captioned it with “This Lauren didn’t care if she wore boy clothes. She preferred it actually. She didn’t know the future. It’s ups and downs. The happiness and pain it held. She didn’t know about heartbreak or loss. She didn’t know how cruel people can be or how much words can hurt, but she didn’t care what people thought of her or her boy clothes. She was happy and sure of herself. She knew she wanted to write songs and sing them. She loved fiercely and boldly. And most importantly, she knew how to smile through a mom bob. 😳 😂 I want to live everyday to be more like her. I’m looking behind every rock and corner for her this year, and I’m going to find her. I’m taking a little break from social media. I’ll be back soon.
