Blake Shelton’s cousin is just about to turn three-years-old next month, but when she was just five months old, she’d been diagnosed with a neuroblastoma tumor. According to officials at the Children’s Hospital Foundation, she went on to have two blood transfusions, three rounds of chemo and surgery to remove most of the tumor.
At the time, Blake stepped in with $600,000 for the children’s hospital, but now, Shelton has gone above and beyond, and the hospitals’ cancer research program is being named after him:
